No orders for HHI: 4 months in a row. Even the world's largest shipyard continues to have no newbuilding order receipts. South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) successfully booked orders for marine engines and offshore equipment in January 2009, but failed to win orders for newbuildings.

HHI January orders crash 54%

Hyundai Heavy Industries saw new orders crash 54% in January compared with a year earlier. The world's largest shipbuilder said it secured contracts totalling $863m in January but these deals were all for marine engines and offshore equipment. The company has not won a shipbuilding contract since last September.
